Operations Update
by Casey Peterson, Senior Director of Practice Operations

Learning and implementing best practices in operations for UT Health Physicians can prevent mistakes, maintain a consistent flow of business to better meet patient demands, and keep our clinical practice profitable and productive. Below are a few updates of interest to our employees.

Reminder! Encourage all patients to sign up for MyChart.

Provide patients with information and their MyChart ID, and then help them get signed up. If you need more MyChart information or ID cards, contact Leslie Swayze.

Here are five quick MyChart points to share with your patients to encourage them to sign up:

  1. MyChart is a secure way to quickly communicate with your providers and care team at UT Health
  2. You can request refills and appointments using MyChart.
  3. MyChart allows you to sign up for a FastPass which alerts you when there’s an appointment sooner than yours available for you to take.

  4. MyChart has an app for your phone, so you can hold all your health information in the palm of your hand.

  5. MyChart is how UT Health communicates important, timely information to our patients, For example, we sent messages to our patients via MyChart about our recent closure due to icy weather.

The UT Health Physicians comments and concerns line has been renamed the Patient Advocacy & Guest Relations line.

This phone line is for patients and visitors who would like to talk with our operations team. You may also provide this phone to anyone who has questions about UT Health Physicians. The phone number will remain the same, 210-450-6080. Theresa Lomperski is the phone line’s primary contact. JoAnn Rios and Leslie Swayze will answer in Theresa’s absence.

Upcoming employee orientation dates are as follows:
