A win for blood cancer patients
 

Patients with a rare blood cancer, known as myelofibrosis, have reason to celebrate. In August, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration approved the first new drug in 10 years for this condition. Dr. Ruben Mesa, director of Mays Cancer Center, home to UT Health San Antonio MD Anderson Cancer Center, was one of the research team members that led this team.
