About the Speaker(s)

Laura D. Baker, PhD

Professor of Gerontology and Geriatric Medicine at Wake Forest University at Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

In 2021, Laura D. Baker, PhD, was the invited speaker at the National Institute of Health Alzheimer’s Research Summit covering “Advancing Drug Repurposing and Combination Therapy Development” in Washington, DC.
She also holds several National Institute of Health/ National Institute on Aging grants for her research involving Alzheimer’s disease and other related disorders and lifestyle interventions to prevent cognitive impairment.

Dr. Baker’s research includes:

  • Lifestyle interventions to prevent cognitive impairment
  • Non-pharmacological clinical trials
  • Alzheimer's and other related disorders
