Heart disease is the leading cause of death in the United States, and men make up more than half of these deaths. About 630,000 Americans die from heart disease each year. Common risk factors for heart disease include being overweight, not getting enough exercise, eating a diet high in fat and using tobacco. In addition, many people are at risk for heart disease due to their family history.
Kids love to play, run, swim and explore -- especially during summer. But that's when parents should keep an eye on them to help guard against heat-related illness.
