Employees of the Year

Every quarter, a committee formally recognizes WOW! award winners based on the comments and kudos received from their patients and colleagues. Because it takes commitment from our entire team to achieve the excellence we deliver every day, for the first time, three employees were recognized as Employees of the Year.  Help us congratulate this year's winners, and thank them for living out our promise to provide exceptional care to our patients.

Congratulations to the 2019 UT Health Physicians Employees of the Year

Patient Experience Practice Champions of the Year

The Patient Experience Practice Champions of the Year award is given to those practices that have consistently received the highest scores on the National Research Corporation (NRC) survey question, “Would you recommend this office to a family or friend?” throughout the year. UT Health Physicians has a practice-wide goal for every location to have its patients answer yes to this question 95.2 percent of the time.

You may not need a TB test this year.

Did you notice you didn't have to take your annual TB test? That’s because UT Health San Antonio has adopted the new recommendations for tuberculosis (TB) testing.

Did you notice you did not have to take your annual TB test last month?

That’s because UT Health San Antonio has adopted the new recommendations for tuberculosis (TB) testing released by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention earlier this year.

Retesting for tuberculosis every year is no longer required. New employees will still have to complete TB testing, but if the result is negative, they do not have to retest every year.

If you have an exposure to tuberculosis, or you have ongoing evaluation for tuberculosis disease or infection, then you will have to complete the required testing and periodic evaluation.

If you have questions, please contact Nancy Mendicino, RN, M.S.N., CIC at mendincion@uthscsa.edu.
