Staff Emergency Fund extended to employees affected by the weather events

UT Health San Antonio employees,

Due to recent significant weather events, the Staff Emergency Fund (SEF) Committee has expanded the opportunity for employees to apply for emergency assistance. For a limited time, the amount of grant funds offered per application will increase from up to $500 to up to $750 and is now available to non-faculty UT Health San Antonio employees who have completed their probationary period. Funding is on a case-by-case basis until funds are depleted.

The UT Health San Antonio Staff Emergency Fund provides limited financial assistance for staff members who are unable to meet immediate, essential expenses due to a temporary hardship related to an emergency and caused by a defined, time-limited, specific emergency event (such as funeral costs for a family member, natural disasters or fire, or a medical emergency). Applications will require supporting documentation.

New ways to donate to the catastrophe fund

The SEF is funded through the generosity of our employees during the annual State Employee Charitable Campaign, held each Fall. Given the need, a new method of donating is now available.
