Miss your vaccine appointment? Here’s how to reschedule

UT Health San Antonio has established an email for faculty, staff and students who missed their COVID-19 vaccine appointments or need to reschedule. The email is covid-19@uthscsa.edu to check vaccine availability and schedule a future appointment.

The university has offered vaccines to all employees and students. Now in the second week of administering the second dose of the Pfizer vaccine, the uptake, or acceptance rate, stands at 83% for providers and 70% for all others. More than 13,000 vaccines have been distributed on campus.

As for patients of the UT Health Physicians practice, more than 1,000 Moderna vaccines were administered to high-risk individuals Jan. 9 at the Medical Arts and Research Center. UT Health San Antonio is providing vaccines for UT Health San Antonio patients who fall into the Tier 1b category as determined by the State of Texas and the Center for Disease Control and Prevention’s tiered prioritized COVID-19 vaccine distribution system.

Eligible UT Health San Antonio patients will be contacted through MyChart or through phone to schedule their vaccine.
