Tips for performance reviews in UT Health Performs

Fiscal year 2021 performance reviews are due July 13 in UT Health Performs. Find tips below to help you with frequently asked questions.

Goal management

For employees adding goals into the performance review:

Follow the step-by-step instructions for adding and submitting goals for approval to ensure a successful transaction.
Do not align, share, or mark goals as Completed. Impact: Submitting goals that have been aligned, shared, or marked as Completed will result in a failed transaction. This step should only be performed once your goals have been approved by your supervisor. For more information, see the guides for adding and submitting goals.

Submit your goal to your supervisors for the first time for their approval first without selecting align, share or mark as Completed.
Once your supervisor has approved your goals, you may align, share, or change the status of your goals as needed.

For leaders/supervisors approving goals or requesting more information:

Find step-by-step instructions on how to Request Information for goals by viewing the Manager: How to Approve a Goal Plan guide.
Do not reject the goal if it needs to be edited or you want more information from your employee on the goal. Impact: If you Reject the goals, this will delete all submitted goal information.

Sync goals before submitting self-assessment

If you edited or updated your goals, make sure the most recent version of your goal plan is with your self-assessment before you submit it.

Managers: Completing performance reviews

If your employees completed a self-assessment, you can view their Discussion Topics comments by scrolling to the Employee Questionnaire at the bottom of the page. Expand the section and review the information. Comments for goals will appear directly underneath the comment box.

If your employees are not required to submit a self-assessment this fiscal year, you can bypass the self-assessment and immediately begin the manager evaluation.
