On Tuesday, UT Health San Antonio began administering the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine for Tier 1A1 and 1A2. The vaccines will take place in the School of Nursing’s Hurd Auditorium. These two tiers of vaccine recipients are aligned with the CDC’s tiered recommendations for administration.

Dr. Robert Svatek, named chairman of urology in Long School of Medicine
 

The Joe R. and Teresa Lozano Long School of Medicine at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio has appointed Robert Svatek, MD, MSCI, as chairman of the Department of Urology. Dr. Svatek, who assumed the position Nov. 30, was selected after an extensive national search.
