Practice operations update
by Casey Peterson, senior director of practice operations

Learning and implementing best practices in operations can prevent mistakes, maintain a consistent flow of business to better meet patient demands and keep our clinical practice effective and productive. Below are a few updates of interest to our employees.

Tips of the month: Get the Haiku app and register for LifeImage

All week long, faculty and providers can come to MARC conference rooms B or C for help registering the Haiku app on their phones. Or, download it now for iPhone or Android.

LifeImage is now available via Epic. Read the full article in this newsletter for instructions on how to begin using this streamlined method for uploading, viewing and sharing images.

Nominate your colleague for a WOW! Award

When you see a colleague living out our promise to provide exceptional care to our patients, nominate them for a Wow! Award by emailing a short nomination letter to: medinam11@uthscsa.edu. Or, you may deliver it in person to the first floor administration offices at the Medical Arts & Research Center. A committee formally recognizes Wow! Award winners using the comments and kudos submitted by patients, employees, managers, supervisors and providers during each quarter.

New hire orientation

The next UT Health Way Training and Certification class for new employees will be on Friday, August 9. Contact Theresa Lomperski for more information.

Plastic surgery is now at UT Health Hill Country

Our plastic surgery practice has opened a new location for patients at UT Health Hill Country. Dr. Scott Farber, an experienced plastic surgeon, will be available to help patients make the right cosmetic decisions. Call 210-450-9220 for an appointment.

Your practice operations team is here to support all of you in your effort to provide exceptional care to UT Health San Antonio patients.
