Summer series of mental health webinars: Tactics to address feelings of burnout and normalize focus on mental health wellness
Human Resources recently surveyed our campus on the topic of mental health awareness. A total of 547 faculty, staff, students, trainees and graduate research assistants completed the survey.
The following topics were four of the top five of interest for all groups:
Anxiety
Burnout
Stress Management
Work/Life Balance
Depression was in the top five for all groups except staff employees, who listed the topic Black Indigenous People of Color Mental Health in their top five.
In addition, survey participants expressed concerns about the stigma associated with mental health as potential barriers for using resources to care for one’s mental health.
In response to this survey, we are providing webinars on the following topics as part of our focus on mental health. We are partnering with experts from our UT Employee Assistance Program who will conduct the webinars.
