UT Dentistry’s General Dentistry Clinic welcomes employees and their families

Peter M. Loomer, Dean and Professor, School of Dentistry, encourages everyone to prioritize routine preventive oral health care for themselves and their families! The General Dentistry Clinic offers personalized comprehensive and preventive oral health care as well as restorative and cosmetic dentistry from a dedicated, experienced dental team.

The clinic’s office hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. with extended patient care hours available for appointments before and after work as well as during lunch.

Dear Colleagues,

As we begin the new fiscal year, we also launch our new benefits year. It is an ideal time to remind our UT Health San Antonio community of the personalized dental care available to you and your family at UT Dentistry’s recently opened General Dentistry Clinic. The clinic’s highly-experienced dental team delivers top-tier oral health care in a convenient location with an accommodating appointment schedule.

With their in-network preferred providers for UT System’s Delta Dental insurance – visiting the dentist is practically painless! The clinic will file a claim for all other dental insurance plans on the patient’s behalf. The clinic’s knowledgeable team is always happy to help answer questions about the cost of services and dental insurance plans.

I want to also emphasize the trust patients can have in the care they receive at our clinics. As an academic dental center, our clinics and practitioners meet the highest standards with oversight from the state of Texas, using evidence-based treatments and the latest in oral health care research and technology.

With the links between oral health and systemic health being undeniable, I encourage everyone to prioritize routine preventive oral health care for themselves and their families. Our aim is to make that easier, more convenient and less stressful for our community to achieve.

I invite you to learn more about the General Dentistry Clinic and schedule an appointment at UTHealthDental.com or by calling (210) 56-SMILE (210-567-6453). The clinic is on the second floor of UT Dentistry’s Center for Oral Health Care and Research at 8210 Floyd Curl Drive.

UT Dentistry and the School of Dentistry continue to work towards achieving our mission to provide oral health care to San Antonio and South Texas communities, including UT Health San Antonio. We look forward to welcoming you and your family.

Sincerely,

Peter M. Loomer, BSc, DDS, PhD, MRCD(C), FACD
Dean and Professor, School of Dentistry
