Join us in welcoming Taryn Prado, MDS, RD, LD, the Mays Cancer Center’s newest registered dietitian. Taryn has provided medical nutrition services in multiple settings, including adult inpatient units, pediatric dialysis, and gastrointestinal nutrition-focused private practice. 

She received her undergraduate degree in human biology from the University of California at San Diego and received her Master’s degree in dietetics studies from the University of Texas at San Antonio. Taryn is a registered dietitian from the Commission on Dietetic Registration, a licensed dietitian from the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, and ServSafe Food Handler from the National Restaurant Association. Her areas of interest include nutrition support, and counseling techniques to support health behavior change.
