Karen McLean LCSW, LCDC, has joined the Mays Cancer Center team as a new social worker. She'll assist patients and their families by providing emotional support and helping navigate available resources based on individual needs.

Karen is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor with 17 years of experience. She received her Master’s degree in social work from Arizona State University. Before joining the Mays Cancer Center, she worked at an inpatient psychiatric unit, was an intensive outpatient program therapist, a therapist for eating disorders, a chemical dependency counselor in the prison system, and worked as a social worker at skilled nursing facilities.
