Go Green for St. Patrick's Day
 
 

Top of the morning to ye - to celebrate St. Patrick's Day, we're going green! Employees are encouraged to wear green shirts with uniform scrub bottoms on Friday, March 17.

 

As always:

  • No large brand names or logos are allowed.
  • No obscene words, gestures, or symbols are allowed.
  • If an employee’s shirt is deemed inappropriate for the workplace, they will be sent home to change, and vacation leave will be used to make up the time.

ACS grant to launch $4.1 million Latino Cancer Health Equity Research Center
 
 

The Avanzando Equidad de Salud: Latino Cancer Health Equity Research Center will be led by Amelie Ramirez, DrPH, MPH, director of the Institute for Health Promotion Research and associate director of cancer outreach at the Mays Cancer Center. The center aims to reduce cancer-related health disparities affecting the Latino community in South Texas and improve cancer outreach, screening, and outcomes.
